I have a 01 F350 7.3L with the 4R100 trans, it had a rubber oring a 5/16 ball small metal washer thing and a spring install in the direct clutch hole and none on intermediate, I installed these new Sonnax feed tube seals both inter/direct its was so much more professional and fit so much better, time will tell how they hold up but what if that small washer thing came out inside the trans humm...see my piont I think these are the way to go by far.
